Wizard of Aus: Blue Moon Australia Book 3 Kindle Edition
Convicted of a double homicide, the famous Wizard of Aus proves no cell can hold him, but his seemingly impossible prison break is more than a bid for freedom – he’s got his sights set on vengeance – against the whole city.
Darius Kane thinks it’s a job for the police and he’s got his own work cut out trying to track down a secret underworld character more elusive than smoke. Known only as the Djinn, Darius must stop her if he wants to keep living.
However, when the wizard proves he can kill and vanish before the police can even react, can he really ignore the pleas for his involvement? Maybe, but when a new client enters the fray who might hold the key to identifying Darius’s nemesis, there really is no choice but to take the case.
Alongside renowned English sleuth, Patricia Fisher, and her team, Darius must fight to find the connection between the wizard, the Djinn, and a criminal overlord and he’d better do it fast as the clock is ticking and the city is set to explode.

About the authors
Sam is a writer of magically-charged fantasy adventures. His passion for action, magic and intrigue spawned his Arcanoverse; a delightfully deluded universe that blends magic, myth, and the modern world in a melting pot that frequently explodes.
When he isn’t hiding away in his writing cave, his favorite hobbies include cooking, indulging sugary cravings, gaming, and trying to make his children laugh. You can find more of his work at www.samuelcstokes.com.
When Steve Higgs wrote his debut novel, Paranormal Nonsense, he was a captain in the British Army. He would like to pretend that he had one of those careers that must be blacked out and generally denied by the government, and that he has to change his name and move constantly because he is still on the watch list in several countries. In truth, though, he started out as a mechanic - not like Jason Statham in the film by that name, sneaking around as a hitman, but more like one of those sleazy guys who charges a fortune and keeps your car for a week even though the only thing you went in for was a squeaky door hinge.
At school, he was largely disinterested in all subjects except creative writing, for which he won his first prize at the age of ten. However, calling it the first prize he won suggests that there were other prizes, which is not the case. Awards may yet come, but in the meantime, he enjoys writing mystery and thriller novels and claims to have more than a hundred books forming a restless queue in his mind because they are desperate to be written.
Now retired from the military, he lives in southeast England with a duo of lazy sausage dogs. Surrounded by rolling hills, brooding castles, and vineyards, he doubts he'll ever leave, the beer is just too good.

- Reviewed in the United States on January 26, 2025This is the 3rd book in the series and the Main Character Darius doesn't even get to finish a case before another is piled on top. Fun and Amusing read, great for when you do not want to read anything to Heavy and depressing.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 23, 2024After a lackluster book one and a much better book two, book three had almost everything.
Why Patricia Fisher and crew in this book? They didnt lend any benefit except perhaps to market interest in the Patricia Fisher series. I missed more with Holly and Darius's friends. They could have filled in for the Fisher crew.
However the mystery and the twist and turns were really good and this is well worth the read
- Reviewed in the United States on August 10, 2024It was fun to have Patricia join Darius. I don't t,hink she helped him much but this ongoing storyline is fun.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 1, 2024A convicted killer with a vengeance! A Djinn with evil plans! Is there a connection between the Wizard and the Djinn? Is anyone safe? Can anyone survive? So many questions, not enough answers!!! Darius Kane is involved in another thrilling, dangerous case. How does he manage to survive? He doesn't believe in magic but I think something or someone must be looking out for him.* just my opinion... This book is full of terrific characters, good ones and bad ones. Mystery, secrets, danger and action that kept my heart racing. I enjoyed the plot, the pacing and the high tension. This is definitely a pulse pounding page turner. A great book!!!
- Reviewed in the United States on March 30, 2024Wizard of Aus by Samuel Stokes and Steve Higgs draws you in from the beginning. Does Darius believe in magic? It certainly seems like magic when the Wizard of Aus escapes from his jail cell after being convicted of a double homicide. And now he is out for revenge.
Darius finds himself involved in tracking down and capturing the Wizard while trying to figure out his connection, if any, with the Djinn.
This is another great story in the Blue Moon universe that you definitely will want to read.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 7, 2024Action packed fun read. I like this series because it Follows the Steve Higgs recipe from the 1 st Blue Moon series. All that and his little dog too.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 28, 2024S. C. Stokes and Steve Higgs are extraordinary storytellers. This book in the series is no exception. I could not put it down after started it. I wanted to know how it ended. I am ready for Daris' next adventure and I think Holly is the Djinn.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 1, 2024Another exciting installment to the series. The stakes are raised and as Darius uncovers more about the mysterious Djinn it leaves more questions and the more danger arises.
I can’t wait to see where things go! This was a thrilling story with a lot of excitement and twists that left me wanting more!

5.0 out of 5 stars Proof-reading needs improvement
I loved the story, it kept me wanting to know more but the proofreading is poor. Misspellings and wrong versions of similar sounding words throughout the book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Steve Higgs, love his books
Mistakenly read the last in the series first and wondered why I felt like I'd come late to the party. However, now reading he first two so all making sense. Love anything set in Australia and have been to Surfer's myself albeit only for the day. Everything I expect from Steve and his joint author only added to it. Light hearted but giving you something to think about. Well worth the money
